Profile
"This is like a New York studio," most people comment upon entering Wildcat Studios Austin. The 2,200 square foot space's 20 foot ceilings, original limestone walls, skylights and floor to ceiling windows all contribute to this "New York" feel. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, this studio is the best location for photographers working on shoots for SXSW and Austin City Limits. Stacy Smith, who has 20 years of professional photography experience, knew exactly what he wanted when he designed and opened the studio in 2010. The studio's cyc wall is separated from the spacious client lounge, giving a photographer ample room to work, while at the same time enabling one to remain in close contact with art directors and support staff. During recent shoots, Southwest Airlines and The Veterans Administration enjoyed the comfy couches and unlimited access to wi-fi, television, and a fully stocked kitchen. Mac workstations are located immediately next to the cyc wall for easy tethering, proofing, editing, and on site printing from an array of Epson printers, including the new 9900 HDR. The studio also has the newest Profoto Air Wireless System. - Studio Guide 2011 |
