Owner and former makeup artist Gina Hole calls the high-end Sugar Studios "Vancouver's most refined photo studios and event space." A sister company to the established THEY Representation, the studio opened in February 2010, the first of its kind in Western Canada. Favorite projects shot here include Valve Software, Kensie/Mac&Jac, Vancouver Whitecaps and FLARE Magazine. A stable of photographers such as Geoff Barrenger, David Ellingsen, Eydis Einarsdottir and Dexter Quinto shoot here regularly, and Hole most enjoys the interaction. "All of the different shoots, events and people that come through—," she says, "every day is exciting!" With a digital camera cart and package available, additional equipment rental is provided by Beau Photo Supplies. Retouching, location, production and casting services are also offered. But the best features here are in the space itself, influenced by clean lines and soft beauty light with a 35-foot infinity wall/cove. It's so clean and white, it's "sugary!" - Studio Guide 2011
