When Bob McNamara opened Orbit Studios 12 years ago, Minneapolis lacked a dedicated professional studio for advertising photographers. Orbit filled the niche with an excellent staff and abundant space in a convenient location, becoming the most complete commercial photography rental space in town. Orbit offers three unique studios, ranging from beautiful daylight to large drive-in. The fun, vibrant atmosphere at Orbit brings a constant flow of creative people. Recently, Rolling Stone did a cover shoot of the Black Eyed Peas here, and Aveda is a regular client. Besides servicing the local market, Orbit has attracted photographers Jason Hindley (London), Mark Seliger (New York) and Erwan Frotin (Paris) to Minneapolis for recent projects. Orbit also offers full production services for projects of all sizes.
