Few rental studios can boast that they've been in operation since 1985 - a testament to the appeal and success of Dakota Studio. While its unparalleled service and accommodating attitude have remained the same, its versatility of function for a mid-sized studio is hard to beat. The West Studio - with a 25' x 55' shooting area, gleaming white epoxy floors, 12' ceilings with lighting grid, and four 4' x 8' west facing windows - features a fully functional shoot-in kitchen. A 20 foot, 2 walled cyclorama and a shoot-in bathroom set with a clawfoot tub rounds this out as the perfect location for any production. The more intimate East Studio, with wood floors and abundant daylight, is perfect by itself for tabletop shoots, castings or as the green room/staging area for larger productions in the West Studio requiring the extra space. While Dakota’s Fifth Avenue/Union Square location is highly convenient and desirable, they’ve worked hard over the years to keep rates reasonable in a volatile economy. Matt Sess, owner and founder, is always ready to help tackle any issues that may come up to make sure your production comes off without a hitch. - Studio Guide 2011
