In building a space for himself four years ago in Beijing, Ben McMillan realized an opportunity to serve a much broader community by making an international studio. A former BBC news producer and experienced photographer working in China, McMillan now provides a new service taking away the stress of organizing a shoot in a foreign country. While welcoming work on local projects, Beijing Photospace is ideal for out-of-town shooters. They offer full production services including studio space, Profoto lighting, prop sourcing and building, location scouting, permits, casting, crew coordination, transport, catering and retouching, and other equipment that otherwise isn't available in China. Located close to the airport, ten minutes from the 798 Art Zone and surrounded by green fields, Beijing Photospace has unique connectivity to transport and locations. The studio itself is flexible and large enough for car work, and McMillan designed the space so cars can drive directly into the cyclorama.
